Macee Goehmann

Meet Macee, the 2023 Dr. Donna J. Streufert Leadership Award Winner - CUW:

Macee Goehmann is a senior at Concordia University Wisconsin studying board field social studies and secondary education with a minor in theater. Living in numerous states and also abroad was formative in teaching Macee about interpersonal and relational leadership. She notes that leaders should seek, “to grow in relationship with those you serve, for it’s through relationships you can truly understand the needs of the community and experience rich moments of service.”

On campus at CUW, Macee is involved with campus ministry through leading Haven, serving as a Faith Associate, and attending Bible studies. Those who work alongside her note that Macee, “reaches out to those entrusted to her with a spirit of gentleness and respect, and excels at inviting others to deepen their understanding of God and grow close to Him.” Inspired by the impact of positive role models in her own life, Macee also serves middle school and highschool youth as a leader with Younglife, VBS and youth groups. 

The selection committee was impressed by Macee’s pursuit of leadership opportunities, both through attending and also planning leadership seminars and events; her emphasis on empathy, humility and authenticity within her leadership roles, and her heart for diverse populations. We look forward to honoring Macee at the 2023 Women of Influence Award Banquet!
