Allison graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in December of 2004 with a double major in Theology and Lay Ministry with an emphasis in Missions. Mission work has always been a passion of hers since she spent her childhood years in Togo, West Africa where her parents Roger and Alice Buck served as career missionaries till 1994.
Allison lives in Mount Dora, Florida with her husband, Rev. Zach Zehnder, who is currently serving as the sole pastor for Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She served as a secretary in the office of President Kieschnick at the International Center in St. Louis, MO.
During their years in St. Louis, Allison had been involved in a variety of young adult ministries at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood, MO and was part of the leadership team that began Reach 1727, a young adult ministry to the St. Louis area.
Allison enjoys speaking on a variety of topics including her experiences growing up as a missionary kid and ideas to use when attempting to connect with the postmodern generation and get young adults involved in ministry; (those ages 18-30 are the least-churched age group!)
