Deb is an author for Concordia Publishing House and a sought-after speaker for women’s conferences, retreats, and ministry events. Her assortment of Christian-living books, Bible studies, and devotionals include the best-selling Bible study, Living a Chocolate Life, along with Stepping Out, Beautiful Feet, and her newest work, JOY: A Study of Philippians.
Deb earned a degree in Economics and Finance, then followed the Lord’s lead to direct women’s and family ministries while raising a family and pursuing additional training in writing, speaking, and theology through Concordia Publishing House (CPH), Concordia Seminary, and the Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI), under the direction of noted authors, editors, and theologians.
Deb has spoken for Lutheran Hour Ministries at both national and regional conferences and for the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) as keynote speaker for National Convention, in addition to, several district conventions. She has led workshops and sectionals for Best Practices for Ministry (BPM) Conferences, Concordia University System’s Beautiful Feet Conference, the Nebraska District LEA Conference, and WLI’s National Conferences. Deb’s ministry travels have taken her to 26 states and Canada, and continue to lead her down the street to her home church.
Raised on a ranch in South Dakota, Deb and her family shared adventures residing in five different states before calling Nebraska home. Deb is a follower of Jesus, a pastor’s wife, and the proud mother of three amazing young adults. She’s a blogger, a women’s ministry leader, and a self-proclaimed coffee/chocolate connoisseur.
