Dr. Linda Borecki

Location: Lake Oswego, OR. Willing to travel throughout U.S. and Canada

Linda Borecki, part-time faculty of music and worship, Concordia University, Portland, Oregon, is a story-teller of liturgy and worship.  She invites people in to the lived experiences of people ancient and contemporary desiring to encounter God in worship.  With music, art, and liturgy from twenty-one centuries, we explore what happens when God’s Spirit meets the human spirit – encounters of healing and Hope through prayer, symbol, rite, and song.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  2 Cor. 4:18

Speaking Topics:

  • Drenched: what the early Christians experienced in worship
  • Eucharisteo: healing and Hope at the Lord’s Table
  • The Story Arc of the Psalms: the submerged story-line of trauma and healing through 150 songs of lament, joy, anger, fear, repentance, and Hope
  • Ancient/Future Worship: ancient liturgy for a millennial generation

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”  Eph. 1:17-18
