Karol Selle, Rosholt, Wis., is an educator by profession and is involved in ministry among the American and international students in her community. Karol is a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a graduate of Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Seward, Neb. She has done graduate work at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee; Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee; and Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Mich. She is employed by International Student Ministry, Inc. as public relations director and the North Wisconsin District as editor of The Lutheran Witness supplement. During the school year, she is employed by the University of Wis. – Stevens Point as an instructor in English-as-a-Second Language programs.
Karol is a member of the Board of Directors the Women’s Leadership Institute of Concordia University Wisconsin. In the past, she has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Concordia Publishing House, the North Wisconsin District, Board of Regents for Concordia University, Ann Arbor; and on other district and LCMS boards. Within the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, she has served on all levels of the organization. Her last national position was Vice president of Communication. She presently is serving the North Wisconsin District LWML as the Web servant.
Karol is often asked to serve as a retreat leader, presenter and speaker. She last was heard in October 2012 at the “Grace Alive” women’s luncheon for Concordia University Wisconsin.
Her personal mission statement is: “to faithfully search out avenues for deeper spiritual living and serving, so that Jesus touches the lives of others through me.”
Karol and her husband, Carl, have four adult married children and 11 beautiful grandchildren
