Linda serves as Ministry Assistant for Living Water Church, a suburban site of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She holds home economics/human ecology degrees from Michigan State University (BS) and Eastern Michigan University (MS) and has taught at both high school and college levels. Linda served as Consumer Services Manager for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company in Ann Arbor and was the first Marketing Home Economist at Hickory Farms of Ohio. She currently serves on the Board of the Council of Lutheran Women in the Detroit/Suburban area and is on the Board of Directors for MOST Ministries, which is located on the campus of Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI.
Linda and her husband Frank have a home in Ann Arbor while he commutes for work as Senior Process Engineer for Plymouth Tube Company in West Monroe, Louisiana. Their children Robert, Donald, and Katrin are young adults with careers in Ann Arbor, Los Angeles, and Phoenix respectively. The Murdocks make it a point to get together for family vacations twice a year!
Linda participates in her small group and enjoys studying family life, leadership styles, and church growth principles. As Ministry Assistant and church member, her focus is on LWML, Mothers of Preschoolers, Women’s Ministry, Small Groups, Volunteerism, Equipping, and Community Outreach.
