Easy Joy—Finding Joy in Nehemiah 8: Wouldn’t it be fabulous if every time you faced a disappointment you could run down to the corner store and pick up a jar of joy? Inspired by an actual store I saw in China, this talk helps us to see that God’s Word is the only source of joy that we need.
Soul Spa: Is your spirit weary? Your heart worn? Come to the Soul Spa! In this presentation, you will explore Spiritual disciplines that help you connect with the Savior—the One who promises to restore our souls (Psalm 23:3). It’s all wrapped in a fun spa theme that will leave you refreshed!
What Not to Wear: Based on God’s “What Not to Wear” instructions in Colossians 3:9-10, this talk will help you weed out unattractive attitudes like the Worry Handbag, the Field Marshal Uniform of Control, and the Prom Dress of Pride. You will discover how God’s Word can help you become a spiritual fashionista!
Make Over Your Mouth: Want luscious lips? The answer is not found in a $50 lipstick, but in a total mouth makeover. The world may value what we put on our lips, but God values what comes out of them. Learn how to become a positive influence through the words you speak.
Meeting God in the In-Between: Do you hate waiting? When God seems to put our lives in a holding pattern, we usually complain and grumble. But what if the waiting rooms of life are actually God’s best classrooms? This presentation examines lessons from the lives of biblical women who experienced prolonged seasons of delay.
Enough for Now: We fill our closets, stuff our garages, and cram our calendars, yet are rarely satisfied. The broken world tries to convince us that we won’t be content until we have more. How can we find enough? This retreat experience focuses on Jesus’ parable of the rich fool in Luke 12. Through exploring this story, you will discover the God of sufficiency–the only source of enough.
God’s Relentless Love: Do you ever feel unwanted? unloved? Immerse yourself in a study of the Old Testament book of Hosea where you will discover how God God continually pursues you and desires an intimate relationship with you. This retreat experience will help you understand the complicated book of Hosea and discover how to live like you’re loved!
