Dionne Lovestad-Jones

As a regional ministry facilitator for Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM), Dionne Lovstad-Jones equips everyday kinds of people to have everyday kinds of spiritual conversations in everyday kinds of settings. She has delivered LHM’s workshop content to more than 1,000 people in congregations and organizations across the country.  As a certified professional fundraiser with a background in nonprofit development and the hospitality industry, Dionne recognizes the joy in welcoming others and the giving of ourselves.  She’s thankful for the studio space freed up by her grown son’s flying the coop, and blames a British husband on her high affinity for Walker’s crisps and digestive biscuits (mostly covered in dark chocolate).

The Eager Conversationalists: A Hopeful Look at What Prepares Christians for Witness

Jesus called His disciples to go as witnesses throughout the world (Acts 1:8). But how do you do that when more and more of us every year are reluctant to even talk about our faith in everyday life? The latest research from Lutheran Hour Ministries and the Barna Group has revealed five key characteristics shared by Christians who are comfortable, and even eager, to talk about their faith. Come discover this important EAGER Profile, assess your own readiness for witness, and make a spiritual growth plan.

The Spiritual Conversation Curve: a Practical Tool for Reluctant Witnesses

Paul encouraged all Christians to wisely discern “how to answer” each non-Christian in their life (Colossians 4). But how exactly do we do that in an age where many non-Christians have experienced “church hurt” and don’t show any interest in Jesus at all? Learn the simple but revolutionary tool developed by Lutheran Hour Ministries that can help you, and your congregation, discern how to talk with the non-Christians in their lives.
